Applied Infrared Spectroscopy

The focus of this research is on examining the spectral response of physically mixed heterogeneous samples, consisting of varying particle sizes and roughness. I aim to better understand the spectral effects resulting from surface roughness and directional emissivity.

To achieve this, I integrate multispectral and hyperspectral thermal infrared spectroscopy with high resolution structure-from-motion photogrammetry techniques. Through this interdisciplinary approach, deeper insights into how surface characteristics influence the spectral signatures observed in remote sensing data can be gained.
